All work is in pastel, selected for its ability to evoke light and atmosphere. Wash-like transparency contrasted with subtle texture are hallmarks of Steve Elliott’s work. Hill tops and open spaces recur frequently in the work; clusters of trees and rocky outcrops are set against atmospheric or active skies; the images capture the colour, movement and drama of the Peak District landscape.
