Dark Peak Indigo

A re-working of a very early image.  The location is Stanage Edge, the mood apparently sombre, but lit by a warm light in the foreground which makes the sky look dramatically dark.  While the image has progressed well beyond the realistic, this sort of light effect can often be seen at Stanage Edge as the sun sinks low in the western sky lighting up the foreground slope and making any low clouds overhead appear much darker.  The image is simplified and semi-abstract and the border gives focus to the composition.
